Apologies for the rough recording of The Spirit Inside and Mr Sky but these are the only ones I have and these songs are too good/interesting to simply waste. The songs on this album were written after returning from India which had been a great adventure but I'd been ill with giardia for 6 months and was having meningeal flare-ups. As a result, I received some powerful healing from a channelled spirit off and on for a year or so. Healing the physical was only part of the process as there was an attempt to set me back on my original path in life. Consequently, it was quite an intense time for me and filled with spiritual potential (which went nowhere lol). Mr. Sky is the song I wrote about my initial response to the Mandarin's healing energy and penetrating wisdom. These songs are reflections of my soul-searching during this period whilst continuing the human charade of projecting my emotions and dreams onto the ladies who inspired me at the time. Plus, I'm guessing Cradled Emotions also relates to the break-up of a fairly short-lived relationship which, in hindsight, made me feel disillusioned enough to quit actively searching for the woman of my dreams. Well, my Saturn return was creeping up on me at the time. Queen of My Heart is a beautiful song. And I plan to rerecord this as well as If Only and The Man From Atlantis which I have now enhanced (pending full recovery from my larynx injury). If only we could feel happy all the time, eh?
