Seeing is believing! Full of fantasy and wonder yet framed by sharp realism, this is my dystopian magical mystery tour, a lush stellar legacy lost in the twinkling of an eye yet now unearthed from the sherbert sands of time. This album, a reminder that I was a poet in my teens before becoming a songwriter (and an artist before that), contains a pinch of pulchritude: my last English teacher at school once wrote in the margin of my exercise book that I must have swallowed a thesaurus, implying that I had used said reference book to the hilt. The word 'pulchritudinous,' in particular, seemed to rile said English tutor!

And it is my visionary scope and colourful use of language - as I explored my gift of painting with words - which have caused me to romanticise some of these songs over the years. Melancholy Mekon and Lay Me Down are special favourites of mine. It has been a joy to rediscover long forgotten gems such as Twisted, Arrogant Lady and Woman Won't See Me No More as well as The Last Blade of Grass and I Want You Baby (not to mention Jesters which is also featured on Madam Fatale's Fabled Perfumatory). Then there is the deliriously youthful romanticism of the poetic Lady's Gaze. Mr. Kitson would be proud (not)! Indeed, I love all of the songs on this crazy beautiful album! If it weren't for the bedlam on planet Earth I might have shared these songs much sooner. Oh well, it's way past my bedtime!
